Spiral Flexibel Gourd Lamp

Unique gourd lamp, grown, designed and hand crafted in my workshop in Bali, Indonesia. It all starts with growing the plants in my garden. I grow them with a lot of love and devotion. Every day I check up on the plants and I use Hand pollination to make the process quicker. When the gourds are ready, the drying process starts. it take around 2 months to dry the gourds.

I take out the seeds and remove the outer layer of the gourd skin. The next steps is drawing the design on the gourd. Once the pattern is designed I start the carving process, I use a drill machine with different sizes. The final step is to prepare the stand and connect the cable and the lamp with the gourd. The process for every lamp is similar but the design is very unique to the shape and size. Not one lamp is the same.
